Jimmy Buffett's bringing the party to downtown Detroit this summer
Detroit's Comerica Park will turn into Margaritaville on July 28, when Jimmy Buffett plays his annual area concert there instead of his usual sold-out stop at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on March 12 at the box office, via www.Tickets.com by phone at 866-668-4437 . Ticket prices and opening acts will be announced soon.
The show marks Buffett's first concert inside the Detroit city limits, according to Olympia Entertainment. The show will be preceded by a free Buffet's Beach Party in the parking lots surrounding Comerica Park, which will begin at 8 p.m. and include activities such as hula hooping, margarita tasting, midway games and live entertainment.
Buffett will be releasing a new live album this summer, which was recorded last October in Las Vegas.
