In a moment everything changes. The sand dune is gone, carried low by a powerful current. The breeze kicks up and there is the sand in the air sparkling everywhere with spectral light. Catching harmonics as it becomes all.
He has drifted from us in his own time, and we are wounded, abandoned and choked with questions. They will all go unanswered until in time our hearts unclench and let the questions float, knowing simply, he could not stay here a moment longer. The pain was too great.
But we will remember the the music most of all…the profound, joyful noise that was his gift. We will remember the soul that brought it, and the bright spirit that lit that sound from the bottom up…From deep inside the pocket.
And Bob has moved on in his long journey, now so must we. With each breath our will for our own lives, and to spend each moment we have on this earth….loving. Look back with forgiveness, then into the eyes of your living friend. Talk to them and bear the pain together. It is too heavy a load for one.
Bob, you are loved. We are fine here and it’s right for you to move on.
Be free of Pain. Travel well. Be light.
