After being part of a panel discussion on the soul, rhythm & blues and the history of race and music in Asbury Park on Saturday afternoon, Bruce Springsteen continued his evening with a live performance with some of those musicians at the Wonder Bar. Springsteen joined Southside Johnny Lyon, Original E Street Band drummer Vini Lopez, Bobby Thomas, Billy Ryan, Ed Manion and others for a few songs as part of a special show "Nicky Addeo and Friends Celebrate the Music of Asbury Park's Westside."

Springsteen played guitar on several songs, including "Gloria" before sharing lead vocals with Southside Johnny on "Stand By Me." After a break, Springsteen came back to join in for another set. He sang lead on two songs "CC Rider," and "What's Your Name," and backed-up Lopez on "Johnny B Goode." "What's Your Name" is a 1962 song by Don and Juan, an R&B vocal duo. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard pop charts in 1962. (less)
